A #DoctorsDay Tribute to Love, Choice, and Healing – Dr. Giriver Sharma and Dr. Shalini Sharma aren’t just doctors. They’re each other’s lifeline. When Dr. Giriver, an orthopaedic specialist at Government RDBP Jaipuria Hospital in Jaipur, found himself battling kidney failure, it was his wife who quietly stepped in and said, “Take mine.” On April 7, 2021, she donated her kidney. No fuss. No drama. Just love and the instinct to save him. Since then, Dr. Giriver recently brought home gold in shot put at the ROTTO-PGI Transplant Games and Dr. Shalini competed too and won! Now, he’s getting ready to represent India at the World Transplant Games 2025 in Dresden, Germany.
